Between two of Ravel’s best-loved depictions of Spanish life and art, you’ll hear music from Silvestre Revueltas’s passionate film score Night of the Mayas — evoking an epic story of dreams and legends, rhythms and celebration in Mexico’s Yucatán. Groh then takes the stage for Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1, a work designed to showcase the composer’s legendary virtuosity as a pianist.
